Life in Community: Growing in faith & friendship

Welcome!

We range in age from infant to 80-something; we’re the faith-curious and the deeply committed; some of us were raised as Episcopalians, or in other Christian denominations, and some are newly finding themselves as followers of Jesus. We claim the Episcopal Church’s legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being.

Please subscribe to our e-newsletter to stay up-to-date about online events, and other ways we continue to weave the fabric of our community.

Youth program/Sunday school

Children are welcomed fully in the life of the parish and church. The parish Children’s Director, Jean Murphy, supervises a program for young parishioners during the 9:30 Sunday service in Ashland which is lively, fun, safe, and meaningful.

Infants and toddlers are welcome to stay with their families during worship.

Teens & Young adults

Older youth are warmly invited to take lay leadership roles in worship: to serve as acolytes (assisting the deacon and priest at the altar), sing in choir, read Scripture, or to lead the Prayers of the People. We also may send a youth delegate (younger than twenty-six years of age) to Diocesan convention each fall.

In the Episcopal church, the rite of confirmation is open to all who wish to make a “mature profession of faith,” “confirming” the promises made at their baptism. For folks baptized as infants or young children, the rite can be a landmark in their teenage years.

Young families

Families of all sorts who are raising young children gather from time to time for fun, food, and mutual support.

Lifelong learning

We never stop learning. It is an important way that we mature in our Christian faith and practice. Join us for Bible Study or Adult Education topics. These are held on the first Sunday of the month.
